During my first year in high school, I had the opportunity to learn how to use a program called Adobe Illustrator. We started of by learning the techniques. We moved on to learning the name of the tools. We were given approximately 2 months to work on this project, which was to create a portrait of ourselves. I started by tracing the picture I decided to work on. The hardest part of this project was putting values on the picture to make it look realistic. Adding details to the portrait was difficult due to the amount of highlights and shades of colors. However, this project helped me gained an understanding in colors and shades. Also, I was able to understand how graphics work which later on helped me in different assignments.
